High Five: Uniquecorn Strategies Marks Five Years of Trailblazing, Teamwork, and Triumphs
Uniquecorn Strategies marks its fifth anniversary with team celebrations, industry recognition, and a renewed focus on the stories ahead.

Five years is already something worth celebrating. For Uniquecorn Strategies, however, this milestone comes with even more reasons to raise a glass, share a meal, sing a few songs, explore new places, and take a moment to look back at how far the company has come.
Uniquecorn recently marked its fifth anniversary with a year filled with industry recognition, new clients, growing partnerships, and, of course, celebrations that brought the team together beyond the usual campaign meetings and deadlines. This time, the team gathered around a long table filled with good food and no meetings, connected over great songs instead of aligning ideas, and explored new places not to activate events, but simply to take a breather, enjoy the view, and reconnect with one another.
Five Years, A Lot to Celebrate
For the agency people who spend their days creating stories and experiences for others, Uniquecorn’s fifth-year celebration was a chance to put work aside for a while and create a few memories of their own.
On August 20, the team took a well-deserved break from campaign decks, media lists, and deadlines for an evening of good food, easy conversations, and plenty of catching up. Coming from different cities and provinces, everyone gathered around the table to enjoy dinner without an agenda: no campaign to brainstorm, no client brief to discuss, and no deadline to chase.
And, naturally, a Uniquecorn celebration would not be complete without a little singing. The dinner eventually gave way to a karaoke night, where song choices replaced story angles, performances replaced presentations, and teammates got to see a different side of one another beyond the usual workday.
The following week, from August 27 to 29, the team headed to Iloilo for an incentive trip. The three-day getaway offered a welcome change of pace from the usual agency routine, giving everyone time to unwind, explore a new destination, and return with renewed energy for the work ahead. With batteries recharged and spirits high, the team is ready to take on new challenges, create bigger stories, and make the next years of Uniquecorn another to remember.
Fruitful Years, Big Milestones
The past years have brought Uniquecorn more than just growth in numbers. From a two-person team, the agency has expanded its roster, client portfolio, capabilities, and reach, taking on work across startups and scaleups, technology, consumer brands, fintech, real estate, corporate and enterprise, social impact, and more.
The agency’s growing body of work has also earned recognition along the way. In 2025, Uniquecorn was ranked #10 among PR companies in the Philippines and recognized among the Top 1000 PR Companies worldwide, making it the youngest agency in the Philippines to achieve the distinction.
Since then, more milestones have followed, including a Gold Stevie Award at the 2026 Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards and two Excellence Awards at the 22nd Philippine Quill Awards to its growing list of accolades. The recognition covered campaigns for Mylo Speech Buddy and the Subdivision and Housing Developers Association (SHDA), highlighting work in Diversity and Inclusion and Government and Public Affairs, respectively.
From Vision to Legacy
Uniquecorn’s story began in 2021, when Co-Founder and CEO Dean Bernales set out to build a PR agency that could work differently with startups, disruptive businesses, and fast-scaling companies.
Joined by Co-Founder and Managing Director Irene Manansala, the agency started in Manila with just two people and a PR-first vision: to go beyond media coverage and help brands build credibility, tell stronger stories, and grow through strategic communications.
As the team and client portfolio grew, so did the agency’s capabilities, expanding from traditional PR into events and activations, executive positioning, digital PR, content and storytelling, and reputation management.
Five years later, that original vision still guides the agency and the work it takes on.
“We wanted to build an agency that could keep up with companies that were growing, changing, and doing things differently,” says Bernales. “Five years later, that vision continues to guide the kind of clients we work with and the kind of work we want to create.”
For Manansala, the milestone is also a reflection of how far that vision has come. “What started as a small team has become something much bigger than what we first imagined. Seeing the people, partnerships, and work that have come out of it is what makes this milestone especially rewarding.”
More Stories Ahead
Five years have brought Uniquecorn from a small two-person agency to a growing communications partner for brands, businesses, and organizations looking to build credibility and make an impact.
But the work does not stop at five. As Uniquecorn enters its sixth year, the agency is looking ahead to new clients to work with, new ideas to explore, new capabilities to build, and more opportunities to create communications that go beyond visibility.
There will be more campaign decks and media lists, more events and launches, more stories to tell, and, inevitably, more deadlines. There will also be more milestones worth pausing for—whether they come in the form of industry recognition, a campaign that makes a difference, a new partnership, or simply another team dinner where everyone can put work aside for a while.
For now, the fifth anniversary is a chance to appreciate the journey so far—and then get back to creating what comes next.
Here’s to the next story.
